Mission Week 2025
This May, St Stephen’s is hosting a ‘Mission Week’ to highlight the importance of mission and provide opportunities for people to hear from and pray for missionaries.
Mission Sunday (all three services)
Sunday 4 May
Hear from our Church Missionary Society (CMS) Mission Partners, Bruce and Libby Hayes, who have recently returned to Australia after serving in Nepal for many years.
CMS Week of Prayer
5-11 May
Commit to praying each day for one week and sign up to receive daily prayer points with different themes, missionaries and nations to help you pray big, kingdom-focussed prayers. There will also be the opportunity to join with others for prayer over Zoom.
Mission Week Potluck Dinner and Talk
Wednesday 7 May, 6.30-8.30pm
Bring a ‘world cuisine’ dish to share from a country you’ve lived or worked in or have a connection to. Bruce and Libby will share about their work in Nepal.
Mother’s Union Meeting
Thursday 8 May, 9.30am
This is a great opportunity to support the Mother’s Union and hear further from Bruce and Libby.
CMS supporter event
Saturday 10 May, 10.30am
Gather at St Stephen’s with CMS supporters from various Brisbane churches for a service of praise and thanksgiving for God’s work through Bruce and Libby in Nepal, and to farewell Bruce and Libby before they embark on their next CMS assignment.
