In the Anglican Church of Australia, we joyfully baptise infants, children and adults. Baptism is a sign of God’s grace and a response of faith, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey with Jesus.
In the Baptism Service, promises are made by or on behalf of the candidate, affirming trust in God and commitment to follow Jesus. These vows are sealed with the symbolic washing of water and prayer, signifying new life in the Holy Spirit.
When children or infants are baptised, parents and godparents make promises to raise them in the Christian faith and within the life of the Church, trusting that God is already at work in their lives.
If you are interested in Baptism for yourself or your child, please come to the 9.30am Sunday service and speak to one of the senior pastors.
