Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37 NIV
You are never alone! No matter where you are, what you are doing or what people may have told you, You are not alone! God is there present with us. The question is whether we acknowledge Him or not. When we choose to stay connected and follow Him we get to be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves and have an eternal impact. (I Thessalonians 5:17, Matthew 18:19).
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:5-6 NIV
We believe that the Bible is the main way that God communicates with us. It’s a vital part of how we grow in our relationship with Him. Ultimatly “We are who we are and we do what we do based on what we believe to be True about God” (Hebrews 4:12, Romans 10:17)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. II Timothy 3:16-17 NIV
We all worship something. Everybody gives their loyalty and devotion to someone or something. God longs for us His children to spend time with Him, to see Him for who He is, to worship Him. We believe that coming together as a church to celebrate and worship God is part of our purpose and role as a church. (John 4:19-24, Colossians 3:16). Worship can take many forms and expressions. It’s primarily an attitude of humility, reverence and love resulting in acts of service. As we regularly come together, we are reminded of who He is, what He has done for us and what He is doing in our lives.
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-47 NIV
