We believe that every single one of us bears God’s image whether we believe in Him or not. We want to be a church where we acknowledge how God is working in us and the world around us. We want to provide a safe place for people to experience grace and truth in a way that we experience God’s love for us.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27 NIV

Removing the Make-up

We live in a world of pretenders and we believe that many churches have bought into this “fake smile, mask wearing approach to life”. There is no need to pretend we are better or worse than we really are, but as we accept each other and speak the truth in love to one another, we can help each other grow into whole people. (Ephesians 4:11-16, 25-26).

Humble Service in the Body of Christ

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. Romans 12:3 NIV

Speaking God’s Beauty

We believe the church has often spoken a language that is incomprehensible to most. It’s important to speak the language of our culture while not compromising biblical truth. (II Corinthians 5:14-21, I Corinthians 9:19-23). We use the arts, music, video, multimedia, drama, poetry, dance and any other medium that is not sinful or dishonoring to re-present Who God is and His love for people. You will notice all our services are very different from one another but all revealing the Beauty and Majesty of God.

Paul’s Use of His Freedom

Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 NIV
