Hall and Forecourt Project Update

The builder is continuing to work hard on several fronts, both inside and outside the hall. For the building component of the project, they are pushing hard toward the goal of fitting all doors and windows necessary to secure the external envelope of the building – “Lock up”. This crucial stage will allow the installation of appliances and fittings that might potentially be otherwise stolen from the building site and hence there are several work tasks waiting on this milestone being reached. A few more weeks to go!

Works undertaken by the builder this week

Electrical switchboard installation; internal door install and second fix carpentry (ongoing); commence installation of front bi-folding doors; plasterboard repairs to downstairs toilet, kidzone, and hall internal (ongoing); completion of plasterboard ceilings to hall amenities areas; high pressure cleaning of stormwater system in areas where debris and blockages were previously found.

Coming up this week

Commence plumbing repairs in Kid Zone play area (from Wednesday); commence internal painting; install scaffolding for external wall repairs and painting; preparation for external ground slabs.
