Who am I?
What is my Identity?
Identity has become quite a slippery term. It has been used different in contexts and for very different purposes. Identity is something unique to each and every one of us, it is something that we assume.
In my opinion there are 4 main areas that impact our identity.
What i say about myself,
What i like.
What other say about me,
and it’s as we examine the interaction of these 4 that we experience life to the full
Who does the One who created me say that I am?
Look at this wonderful statement Jesus makes in Matthew 5:13-17
Salt and light
13 ‘You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 ‘You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Over the next 4 weeks we are going to be looking at who God says we are and how He is calling us to live out the lives He has given us.
Come along and join us at one of our 3 services at 7:30am, 9:30am or 6:30pm
